Why I Stay Up Until 2 AM Writing Blogs That No One Reads

The blogs no one reads

It’s 2 AM, and I’m sitting here again, writing a blog that will likely not be read by many. After a whirlwind of a day balancing time with my 5-year-old son and running multiple businesses, you’d think I’d be fast asleep by now. But no, this is my time. The world finally quiets down, and I can catch a moment to unwind. And for me, writing these blogs is how I let go of the chaos.

Parenting and Work: The Constant Balancing Act

Life with a 5-year-old is anything but calm. Between school runs, making sure he’s happy, entertained, and safe, the day flies by in a blur of activities, laughter, and the occasional mess to clean up. But it doesn’t stop there—my work life is just as busy. With multiple businesses to manage, including property, storage units, commercial spaces, and my CBD wellness projects, every day is a full-on hustle. Throw in managing teams, making decisions, and keeping everything on track, and you can imagine just how hectic things get.

That’s why I cherish the stillness of the night. Once my son is asleep and the business emails have slowed to a trickle, that’s when I find a moment for myself. And that moment is spent writing.

Blogging as a Release From the Busyness

Writing a blog before bedtime helps me process the busyness of my day. From the time spent with my son—whether it’s the school drop-offs or the fun moments we share—to the constant demands of work, blogging becomes a creative outlet for me. It’s not about making the perfect post; it’s about taking everything that’s swirling around in my head and putting it into words.

Some days, it’s about reflecting on the funny things my son said or did. Other days, it’s about the stress of managing my businesses—figuring out solutions for issues that pop up, dealing with clients, or thinking through new ideas. Writing it all down helps me breathe easier, even if no one else ever reads it.

The Importance of This Quiet Time

I run a busy local bouncy castle hire business, manage storage units and workshops, oversee internet services, and juggle my involvement in retro gaming projects. In the middle of all this, there’s always my son, and I never want to lose sight of that precious time I have with him. But it’s exhausting, too, which is why my late-night blogging sessions are so essential.

These quiet hours are the only time I have to reflect. I use this time to write, not just to document my day but to unwind from it. It’s a way to make sense of everything, to refocus, and to find a moment of calm in an otherwise busy life.

The Magic of 2 AM

There’s something special about the late-night hours. No one’s emailing me, no one’s asking for anything, and the house is still. It’s at this time that I can finally hear my own thoughts. Writing blogs at 2 AM has become my personal ritual—a moment to relax, reflect, and release the thoughts and emotions that have built up over the day.

It’s not about who reads these blogs. It’s about the satisfaction of creating something, even if it’s just for me. It’s my way of winding down, processing the day’s chaos, and preparing for whatever comes next.

Why I’ll Keep Doing It

So, why do I stay up late writing blogs that may go unnoticed? Because it’s how I unwind from a life that’s constantly in motion. It’s how I process the busyness of running multiple businesses while making sure I’m always there for my son. It’s my therapy at the end of a long day, and it helps me reset for the next.

Even if no one reads them, these late-night blogs are a way for me to clear my mind and embrace the calm. And for that, I’ll keep writing them.

Infinite Lives Group

We started with a love of retro and arcade gaming, a passion for technology and an eye for opportunity. What began as a digital services company quickly evolved into something much bigger — a group spanning property, tech infrastructure, arcades, hydroponics, health and beauty, and beyond. Infinite Lives Group exists because we believe great businesses aren’t built in one lane. The best ones play the whole board.
