⚠️ WARNING
This is to notify you of scammers pretending to be Go North Hemp (a legitimate company).
ONLY EVER DEAL DIRECTLY with verified companies through their official websites.
❌ Never trust messages via WhatsApp or Messenger – scammers are active and impersonating brands!
Just when I thought the nightmare was over, it happened again.
After already losing over £2500 to a fake Arete Hemp rep earlier this year, I’ve just received another message from the very same number that scammed me before – this time claiming to be from Go North Hemp Farm. That gut-churning feeling returned instantly.
The Message That Triggered Deja Vu
“Hi xxx,
I hope this message finds you well. As an affiliate of Go North Hemp Farm, I am committed to providing you with the highest quality hemp-derived products and exceptional customer service…”
The message continued with talk of ISO 9001:2015, cGMP standards, and a call to order directly through them to “ensure priority processing.”

Sound familiar?
It’s almost word-for-word what the scammers pretending to be from Arete Hemp sent me before they vanished with my Bitcoin and left me with zero products and zero response. No shipping. No tracking. Just silence.
These Scammers Are Evolving
They’re not amateurs. These aren’t dodgy DMs written in broken English or obvious scams with poor grammar. These people are slick, convincing, and well-informed. They mirror the real websites. They use terminology that would only make sense if they were in the industry. They build trust by pretending to care. And worst of all, they are targeting businesses, not just casual buyers.
Their tactics are evolving, and clearly, they’re still out there fishing for their next victim.
How Do They Keep Getting Away With It?
They use platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram to reach out – knowing that if they’re reported or blocked, they can just spin up a new number or account in minutes.
They also rely on cryptocurrency payments – impossible to trace or recover – and they hit you with urgency, like shipping delays, “limited stock,” or fake discounts if you pay quickly. They’ll even go so far as to send fake shipping documents or pose as customer service reps to make it all feel real.
Then? They vanish. And you’re left feeling robbed and humiliated.
Why I’m Speaking Out – Again
I’m not writing this for sympathy. I’m writing it because someone reading this will be targeted next – maybe another CBD shop owner like me, maybe someone new to wholesale, or maybe someone who thinks they’ve found a goldmine supplier in the US.
You haven’t. You’ve found a scammer.
They’re out there using the names of real companies – Arete Hemp, Go North Hemp Farm, and probably others. They’re exploiting the trust we’ve built in this community, and it’s time we shine a massive floodlight on their operations.
What You Can Do Right Now
- Do not trust cold outreach via social media or WhatsApp – even if the person seems knowledgeable.
- Verify directly via the company’s official website. Use a verified email or contact form – don’t rely on what the person sends you.
- Never pay by Bitcoin or crypto unless you have a long-standing, trusted relationship.
- Watch out for fake catalogues, pressure tactics, and requests for additional “insurance” payments.
- Report it. In the UK, contact Action Fraud. In the US, report to the FTC or IC3.
I have just reported this to the relevant authorities and hope these robbing b*stards get caught.
This isn’t just about money anymore. It’s about protecting our community. These scammers are back – and they’re getting smarter. If you’ve been targeted or scammed, don’t stay silent. Reach out, share your story, and let’s expose them together.
I’ll keep fighting – and I hope this message helps someone else avoid the same pain.
Stay sharp out there.
